As developments in the medical field progress rapidly, we aim to remain flexible with our research project and take advantage of new advancements. Therefore, our Foundation PLN organizes a “Crazy Ideas” session twice a year, nationally and internationally. During these sessions, we invite medical scientists to come up with ideas to make the disease caused by the PLN mutation treatable. We also welcome ideas for “basic research”. For each session, we allocate a budget to further investigate the best idea. At the end of a “Crazy Ideas” session, we immediately announce which researcher can proceed with the budget.
